Celebrating 130 years of Lucy the Elephant, artist Michael Thomas Benson's Mending a Tall Tail is the FIRST EVER art exhibit within Lucy the Elephant! Its purpose is to help raise funds for repairing Lucy's tail damaged in a windstorm.

The Mending a Tall Tail art exhibit includes 14 photo illustrations that depict Lucy as an important landmark and shared memory in the lives who live near or have visited Lucy. (For your enjoyment please take a glance below at just a few of these beautiful photo illustrations.) The $7.00 antrance fee and 50% of the proceeds from the artwork will go to the Save the Lucy Committee, a non-profit that sets out to maintain and repair our much loved and admired Lucy the Elephant. The exhibit runs from June 4th to September 6th.

In addition to photo illustration's, Mr. Benson's artwork has included painting, ceramics, glass, photography, alternative processes, and sculpture.
